This talk about footballers has reminded me of a friend of mine who socialised with Justin Fashanu whilst at University in Newcastle (UK). Justin was hounded by
the British press after he came out and my friend felt guilty - almost complicit
in his sad death by suicide (he hung himself) as at that time my friend was in
the closet and therefore not able to offer any support. I think he will always
regret that..........
