North Korea and Kim Jong Il are far from being a perfect state
and given the choice I'd rid the North Koreans of the regime
in a moment. However, it's not my choice and neither is it
the choice of the United States. For God sake stop involving
yourselves in the internal politics of independant states. I
would have thought that historical lessons would have been
learnt by now!
People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones but then again
I suppose any 'smoke screen' is invaluable to the Bush administration
right now............
DPRK has the same right as any state, however abhorrent you might
find nuclear weapons or a particular political regime, to test what is a
relatively insignificant missile.
Lets not forget that the US is still the only country to have used a nuclear
weapon (unnecessarily) and against a civilian population with devastating
results.
It is also a country that developed the most agonising of weapons (napalm)
which it used with impunity against innocents.
The list is endless ........ so much so that the hypocrisy makes me feel like
vomiting. The worst thing is that it's happening right now and going relatively
unchallenged - times haven't changed as much as we sometimes like to think
they have.....
